Clinical Intern

Hi! My name is Jules and I’m a counselor who is passionate about helping clients explore the difficult parts of life with curiosity rather than criticism. I take a non-pathologizing approach to therapy and believe that while we can’t change the past, we can hold enough self-compassion to embrace the future with confidence.

As a Queer, chronically ill therapist, I deeply appreciate how identities intersect—informing our lived experience and the parts we develop to keep us safe. I’m committed to showing up as my most authentic self and encourage clients to do the same. Through humor, empathy, and curiosity, I strive to build a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen and appreciated for being exactly who you are!

I’m especially passionate about relational work centered on connection, intimacy, and partnership across the spectrum of relationship configurations—including (but not limited to) dyadic couples, ethical non-monogamy, and friendships. I’m also passionate about helping clients navigate chronic illness, identity development, and intergenerational trauma.

I’m currently finishing my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at DePaul University. When my therapist hat comes off, you can find me cooking and baking, soaking up the sunshine in a park, supporting independent public radio, and seeing live music. If you’re curious about working together, I’d be honored to be a part of your therapeutic journey!
