Hey there!
My name is Rachel. I am queer and non-binary counselor in training. My aim in therapy is to connect with clients, foster an open, affirmative, and non-judgmental space for exploration. My goal is to approach therapy as a collaborative and non-hierarchical environment. I don’t see myself as the expert of your experience—you are.
The modalities I am drawn toward include human-centered, existential, and feminist lenses, which to me means thinking about self, meaning, and identity as well as how the world around us has had an impact. In my experience, we are often our own biggest critic so I integrate a strengths-based perspective to point out the parts of yourself that have gotten you this far.
I am interested in working with emerging adults, folx exploring their identities, and neurodivergent clients.
When I’m not working in a therapy setting I am running, playing board games, and trying new recipes. If you’ve read my bio and feel like the therapy I’m offering aligns with your needs, I’d love to schedule a consultation.
