Rachael Stedman

Therapy can sometimes feel awkward, challenging, or uncertain—and that's okay. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the process, which is why I strive to create a space where clients feel supported, understood, and comfortable showing up as their authentic selves. My goal is to help people build on their strengths, stay curious about their experiences, and move toward a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

Through an interpersonal and contextual lens, I work collaboratively with clients to deepen self-understanding, navigate life's challenges, and strengthen their relationships with themselves and others. I provide individual therapy, psychological assessments to support diagnostic clarity, single-session WPATH assessments for gender-affirming care, and Gottman-informed relationship therapy. I am licensed through PsyPact and can provide telehealth services in participating states.

I completed my master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology through the University of Indianapolis. I specialize in working with queer, non-monogamous, and kink communities, and I have extensive experience supporting medical students, undergraduate, and graduate students. Clients often describe me as warm, empathic, and approachable, and I enjoy bringing humor into the therapy room when it feels helpful. 

Outside of therapy, you might find me reading, slowly conquering the fiber arts, or exploring with my dog, who is my co-therapist for virtual sessions. I look forward to connecting with you and being part of your journey!
